SkitLite Gaming is one of the best up and coming eSports organizations around. With a series of positive experiences and results behind them, they are fighting that extra mile over other teams with some of the strongest players around filling their rosters. Once solely a PC organization, SkitLite has seen some recent success that’s led them into the console scene. Only competing last year, they’ve already found great success with getting to CoD XP 2011 and registering top 3 finishes at LAN events.

Our list of affiliates here at KontrolFreek reads like a who's who of Youtube personalities. With guys like Trumpf, Muzzafuzza and B3NDRO among the ranks, our affiliates consist of the best of the best, and that's why they're part of the family.
Since early December our affiliates have been participating in our "Ultimate Affiliate Contest." We challenged our top affiliates to battle it out for thousands of dollars worth of cash and prizes (like a sweet 3D TV and gaming headsets!) by seeing who could generate the most sales for the month of December. All of our affiliates did a great job and the competition was close up until the very end.
The winners for the Ultimate Affiliate Contest are: 1. Taylor Pierce - IAPP (3D TV valued at $1,000) 2. Robbie Kennison - Muzzafuzza ($250 bonus + gaming headset) 3. Ben Davis - B3NDRO ($200 bonus + gaming headset) 4. Jonathan Trumpfy - Trumpf ($100 bonus) 5. John Cummings - Boohoodman ($100 bonus)
Our winner, Taylor, built a pretty awesome Black Ops iPhone and Android App called Black Ops Virtual Coach Pro that everyone who plays CoD owes it to themselves to check out.
Thank you to all affiliates who participated! We look forward to doing more stuff like this in the near future. If anyone has any interest in becoming part of KontrolFreek's extended family of affiliates please complete and submit the form here: http://www.kontrolfreek.com/affiliates.asp

Is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 consuming your life? We know. We can’t stop playing it either. Speaking of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, did you know that Team Fear (Kontrol Freek sponsored MLG team) earned a podium finish at last weekend’s COD 4 National Championships in Anaheim, CA? That’s right! Out of all of the really awesome players in the U.S. who play Modern Warfare, they manage to be awesom-er. We think that’s pretty... awesome! So congratulations, Fear, on your third-place finish! Keep dominating! And keep on using those FPS Freeks.

I used to be good at Halo. So when ODST came out I decided to plug in the Halo 3 Multiplayer disk and relive some of my former glory. Sure, I figured that I’d be bit rusty from not playing for a while, but I never thought that I would still be getting straight-pwned after multiple hours. Ouch! This concerned me. So after a lot of frustration—and maybe even a few tears—I decided to get to the root of the problem.
My first thought was the obvious: I suck. Then, right before hanging myself, I decided that I wasn’t really as bad as my stats were demonstrating. I mean, I’m not god’s gift to gaming or anything, but I do have nearly a 2.0 kill/death ratio in Modern Warfare. My conclusion: everyone must be cheating (well, maybe not everyone--but you can see what I'm getting at). I have certainly fallen victim to cheaters in the past but it was usually something relatively obvious. When you are constantly getting shot from outside the map in Call Of Duty, Ghost Recon, Halo, Gears of War, and every other popular game in the history of multiplayer gaming, you know when the C is O (“cheat is on…” stay with me). But this was different; I was being outgunned—by the same guns that I was using! I decided that I was being beaten by hardware mods (rapid fire controllers, specifically). Had this exception to the rule become an epidemic?
Now, I’m all about obtaining advantages (that’s why I use FPSFreeks, after all) but when does this lust for the upper-hand become cheating? Where do you stand on the issue? Where do you draw the line in your quest for that tangible edge?

Q. What is your name?
A. Scotty
Q. What is your gamer name, the name everyone knows you by?
A. Scoady
Q. What team do you play on in MLG and GameBattles?
A. PoPp1N Y4 D0m3 -
Q. What were your first thoughts when you first heard about the FPS Freek?
A. Where do I get them, and how much are they?
Q. What was your thoughts when you recieved the FPS Freeks and tested them out in game?
A. UNBELIEVABLE. I can't believe a simple extention to your joysticks can make you this much better..
Q. Do you think the FPS Freek can help a Pro Gamer like you improve your game in COD 4?
A. I didn't think so at first, but after playing a few games I couldn't beleive how much steadier my shot was. This product is very efficient for long range guns and especially snipers.
Q. Would you recommend this product to fellow pro gamers and to casual gamers?
A. I recommend this product to anyone who wants to improve their gaming ability, pro or casual.
Q. Now that you see the benefits of the FPS Freek, do you think the product and the improvement it has made in your game is worth $10.00?
A. If this product only came on seperate controllers, I would go spend the 60-70$ on a controller containing FPS Freeks. So yeah, it's definitly worth the small cost of $10.00.

Last year, a startup in the gaming accessory biz, kontrolfreek, showed us prototypes of a controller add-on concept designed to offer gamers with standard control pads a degree of extra precision and touch in driving games. We liked the design and concept, and were stoked when the product finally came to market as the speedfreek (review). As such, when the company invited us to test a new prototype add-on designed for FPS titles we were happy to oblige.
Dubbed the FPS Freek, the new add-ons apply a similar concept of extending a standard control pad's analog sticks, though unlike the driving oriented speedfreek's "U" shaped sides, the FPS Freek goes vertical rather than horizontal. The concept immediately reminded us of one of the very first third-party controllers for the Xbox 360, the MadCatz GamePad Pro we reviewed in late 2005.
