We all know that the Playstation Vita is releasing in the states in 2 weeks, and sooner for the First Edition reserves, and one of the most common comments I've heard from reviewers, retail clerks, and even a Sony representative is that the thumbsticks on this remarkable system are very short. From what I've been able to experience, there isn't a lot of travel in the sticks and I believe the system could benefit from some kind of analog stick extension. Just an idea.
EDIT: Should have looked at the other pages a little closer, as this has already been brought up. Let me instead use this post to voice my support for the idea. Lets go, Kontrol Freek, lets make it happen. edited by Dodge on 2/8/2012

I'll use this post as well. I got the Vita last week with the 1st Release Bundle, that being said, before I purchased I read a ton of reviews/previews and the main thing I saw and have experienced is how difficult it is to use the dual analogs. I've been a huge supporter of the Kontrol Freek products since the release of Black Ops...maybe even MW2, I can't remember. Regardless, that would be a HUGE win and would make FPS titles actually feasible to play on this extremely powerful device. As it stands now it would be virtually impossible to play with any accuracy what so ever.

Yeah, I played with one over the weekend and agree--it could use some help. The problem is that there really isn't any room underneath the sticks for clips so I'm not sure how it would work. You know what I mean?

I hope you guys figure it out. Someone did. There are some cheap knock off stick caps from China being sold on Ebay. I really want something reliable for my Vita. I love my freeks on my PS3 and 360 controllers. They would be perfect for the Vita.

Do you have a link for the products you're referring to? I'd love to see what you mean.

Yes, I did. They are made of hard plastic and fit right on top of the existing sticks. The only issue I have with them is they add extra surface area to the sticks and make using the "X" button a little awkward. Not a deal breaker. They most definitely make the Vita better. They make a huge difference in game play.

So, they are caps that fit over the existing sticks? Do they interfere or rub the shiny plastic surface of the Vita? One thing I've noticed is that there is virtually no clearance between the stick edge and the face of the Vita when the stick is all the way in any direction.
