Everythings good on the right stick, but the left, different story. It's all perfect besides one thing that makes me not want them. I use PS3 and when you push up to run with the left stick you can't. The ridges on the left side of the controller below the D Pad are not very compatible with the Freeks. When you trying to push down to run, you can't because the ridges are already touching the controller face. I want to return these. Are returns available?

We don't get too many complaints about this issue. We will have to look in to this further. I would recommend, for the time being, to contact our support staff by clicking on the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the page. They may be able to help you figure out a solution.

Yes, i use it for the ps3, and the KF are poorly made for the ps3. Both of the KF touch the sides of my controller, and the sides touches the dpad sides and scrapes it, also for the same for the right side, it scrapes the controller and the little keys on the controllers. Put it on the ps3 controller, and you will see it for yourself.

A new design should be made. Yes it is universal, but it only truly works for one system. 360....

So yes, KF fails for the ps3 badly.

Yes G40Mike don't feel like your the only one this has happened too I feel the same way but on the other hand there only $12.00 with shipping you have 2 options either play with out the Left joystick adapter or do what I'm about to do which is grab a dremel and go to work on shaving it down to where it can be used. I played last night with only the right one on and it wasn't too bad. I'll let you know what happens and we will just have to wait until new adapters come out.

I don't see what the big deal is. Yes, it would be nice if it did fit for the PS3 right out of the box for 13$ shipped. But, it is very easy to modify. I put it on without any problems using rubbing alchohol, slips right on. Then I realized that it did rub the controller. OK. annoying. I got my handy sharp pocket knife (be careful kids) and shaved a small fraction of the FPS Freek on that side and BAM, perfect. It took me all of 5 minutes. WOOPY. If you try it make sure to hold the controller upside down so the shavings don't get into the moving parts of the stick. Well worth it. I play split screen at a friends house and even though my level is only 21 when I started and the other 3 guys are at 38 plus, I was able to get more kills and points with it attached. BTW I moved up 3 levels in one night against only 3 other guys. I used to get my rear handed to me.

Nothing in life is perfect, especially something made for 2 systems. Learn to deal with it and life will be happy.

The issue with the PS3 is that the bottoms of the FPS Freek rub against the controller shell so the plastic starts to chip away. Second, the PS3 analog sticks are already higher up then the 360s so putting on the FPS Freek raises it too high. Also the analog sticks are more sensitive and have pretty much no deadzone compared to the 360 sticks so you kind of need to modify it a bit for the control.

I hope you guys do modify it because at this point, using them for a DS3 is a pain and I would buy another set changed up.

To reply to the TC, yes the bottoms of the FPS Freek when pushed all the way make it hard for L3 and R3 to be pressed.

One more thing. Since the DS3 analog sticks are convex and gripping the thumb on all sides, that pushes the FPS Freeks upward even more.

I've just received my Kontrol Freek yesterday and I've noticed this too..

It does not fit PS3 Controller perfectly and when pushing it all the way, it's a pain the ass to use L3 and R3.

I'm just using the KF on my Right Analog, which I don't need to push all the way (it's very rare to do that).
On my Left Analog is impossible since I spend a good time running (SMG Class).

Anyway is a good product and improved my skills..

Unfortunately I wasn't able to replicate this as you all have posted. When I put mine on a PS3 controller I went out of my way to spam the crap out of the thing. I was still able to get full motion, and a full click on the L3 and R3 buttons. And I ordered mine before this topic was made, so if they redesigned them I wouldn't know.

No problem using the L3 and R3 for me. Since reading this thread I've checked and although the Freeks do actually touch the controller casing when pushing fully up I can't say that it has actually caused any problems. I've had a really close look and on mine at least at the point of contact the nubbin is already pushed to its maximum position anyway.

So not really fail to me, unless you like to complain about nothing.

Now that's not really fair to say, as you and I can only give our experience with it. Other people could have completely different experiences.

Try adjusting the freek so the "nub" that sticks down isnt directly at the top, but instead the gap between "nubs" is at the top. It will allow a bit more range of motion when pushing UP on the PS3 left thumbstick.

Also, I only use an FPS freek on the right thumb anyway -- I dont need the precise motion for the left one.
