someone else has already posted the idea of trigger freeks, but explained them as simply an extention of the trigger. My idea is more of a double trigger. http://www.glowfoto.com/static_image/20-170507L/9907/jpg/07/2010/img6/glowfoto In case the image fails: there is a 'z' shape bent copper wire connected to the right trigger. the top inner part of the 'z' is taped to the top of the controller's right trigger.
This wire is obviously just a way of showing an idea, it's just taped to the trigger.
The full idea is to have rubber pads on the top and bottom part of the double trigger, and the trigger freeks simply slide onto the right and left trigger.
Advantages:
-double trigger ability. People will be blaming you for modding your controller!
-Even pulling both top and bottom triggers together helps increase fire speed.
-by pulling the right trigger with only your middle finger, you can control (or kontrol) the right trigger and the right bumper at the same time. (see image at end of post)
-Takes almost no time to get used to having them on.
-very comfortable to use, even my copper wire actually improves the comfort of the controller all together.
-simply mirror the final design for the left trigger.
Disadvantages:
-you can't set down the contoller on its back without the triggers getting pressed in, and might lead to damage. And you couldn't lay the contoller on it's face if you have speed freeks or fps freeks. One way of fixing this is to have the trigger freeks easily removable. But this would lead to damage of the trigger freeks, rather than the triggers, and would just get annoying. Another way of fixing this is to offer controller stands (another product idea.) which hold the controller upright. Maybe it wouldn't cause damage to occur and i'm just over-reacting.
-difficult design. It looks rather simple, but for the trigger freeks to fit on the trigger, they almost need to use tape. the sides of the trigger literally have less than a millimeter of clearance and nothing to snap on to. It could be possible to have thin plastic sides to lit them slide onto the trigger, but those would need to be very strong and very thin. (carbon fiber :? ). There seems to be a small notch on the top-front of the trigger, that you might have the trigger freeks latch on to.
-ps3 incompatibility. My bro has a ps3, and looking at the controller, there simply isn't as much room as there is on the 360. Even lifting your middle finger from the grip of the controller to the area under the trigger gets very uncomfortable. Not only that, modern warfare 2 uses the R1 and L1 buttons in place of the triggers. Even though it is possible to switch to use the triggers in settings, most people don't know how, and are surprised to hear that it's possible, and are running to check right now, even though they are already used to R1 and L1. :P
-trigger freeks would most likely not be compatible with a controller case or grip. Sad face.
Even though there are more advantages than disadvantages, the fact that it is not easily compatible to ps3 users, nearly halves the community of people buying the product.

I actually mentioned this in an email to them but called it "Extended Freeks" but yeah my idea have it be 1 piece and its more of a concept and hard to draw out but I tried.

It would more or less hook onto the bottom/edge of the battery area and if its needed it can use the holes for the security screws. Also they would be doubled in size/length from the controller which with the right design you could easily make an depth area that would have it rest on the edges like it does now. Maybe ill bust out the pencil and do my full idea.

to solve the problem(for both PS3 and Xbox) you could just have a hard-plastic, clip-together shell that has the triggerfreeks installed, or the triggerfreeks could come separately, and snap on separately too, so the user isn't forced to use both triggerfreeks.(and it might help keep them from being damaged during shipping.) first post YAY!
