how tall is the FPS freek ITSELF?

i think they technically add 0.375 inches to the stick, i could verify this in cad but i am thinking that is a close guess.
So thats basically nearly bang on 1cm/10mm

This can't really work....
|
Its just very simple physics. Longer stick = more leverage and a larger range of motion. You'll see when you get them
|
|
Are they likely to 'pop' off?
|
Once on they wont ever come off unless you specifically are trying to pry them off.....even then you may have trouble :S
Once on the are very firmly in place.

Quick Question
|
Hello there,
Well its down to individual biomechanics but in my experience they are far more comfortable then the original stick height. However any change on something like a pad will likely to feel slightly fatiguing at first on some of the hand muscles after a couple of sessions though they will feel perfect.
Enjoy

PLZ Help with sensitivity
|
Use what you normally play on. I play default on COD (Medium) with or without the freeks. If I tweak my sens up then my K: D of 3.6 goes down so I leave it at default

How long did it take you to get your FPS freeks?

Just over 3 weeks to the UK luckily we now have a UK supplier with free next day delivery.

All Black Freeks
|
All black would fit both the white pad and the black as the white pad has charcoal sticks/sockets. You'd only have to have one product if costing is an issue and get rid of the whites completely

kontrol freek stickers
|
Yeah small stickers would be awesome.

NEW REVIEW FOR FPS FREEK(S)
|
Aiming on a pad is a combination of both sticks. There's always a touch of strafe aim in most shots and IMO its better to use it on both sticks to have uniformity through your aiming. However if its working well then go for it.
They didnt make me want to turn my sens up. I'm still on 2 and when I tried it up on 3 recently my K: D dropped below 4:1 so i'd say stick with what you use now.

A Real Review Please
|
Yeah sure....here's mine
"Get your Freek on! Coming from being a PC gamer just last year and moving to an XBOX 360 for my FPS needs has been a painful adjustment. Getting use to the analog sticks of the 360 hit a limit pretty early on and while I get by and do rather well in FPS games I was defiantly ready to have an improvement offered to me. On paper the FPS Freeks made total sense to me. So I ordered a couple of sets. The difference in precision is incredible, the gap between mouse and analog stick has been bridged perfectly. Movement is crisp, smooth and the cross hair just floats to heads.
The other major difference is with tracking a target, with the standard stick I had to flick ahead of the target and wait for them to pass my cross hair - With the Freeks on however I was able to track the target in a manner very similar to a good mouse set up.
Another plus for the Freeks is the quality of the rubber compound used on the tops. The xbox sticks have quite a hard rubber compound which doesn't have much grip. The Freeks however use a lovely soft rubber compound that like a good set of racing slicks are extremely grippy. Now not only to they give a health boost to your overall stats but also the game experience is so much better with the Freeks.
You get a deep feeling of connection with the game, A sense of mastery and not just getting the job done. Aiming is now independent of movement, without the Freeks I had to strafe shoot to get on my targets alot of the time - with them on however I can aim independently of movement which gives me more strategical choices. 10/10" edited by Zensuji on 4/27/2010
